2010 has already seen the release of several big name titles, but March seems set to steal the show. With the release of several highly anticipated titles, this month is shaping up to be great for gamers, but bad for their bank accounts. Here are a few titles you should keep in mind behind all your spring break plans.

Final Fantasy XIII

Nearly four years after its last entry, the Final Fantasy franchise is finally adding another installment.

Final Fantasy XIII hopes to continue the role-playing series' long-standing success by once again weaving an intricate blend of impressive visuals, gripping storytelling and intense battles.

New this year is a complete overhaul of the already innovative battle system introduced in the previous entry.

Control is now limited to only one character, but the other members of the party can be issued roles, or "paradigms" as the game calls them.

For instance, assign a party member the Medic Paradigm and he or she will be more apt to stay back and heal the group. Assign the Ravager Paradigm instead, and they will focus more on dealing magical damage.

Players can expect few surprises as far as the story and graphics go. Final Fantasy XII pushed the limits of what Playstation 2 could do, and it looks like Square Enix set out to do the same for the current generation of consoles.

Final Fantasy XIII looks like another blockbuster not to be missed. Final Fantasy XIII releases March 9 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

God of War 3

Ready for a bit more of the old ultra-violence? God of War 3 continues the story of Kratos, a man now hell bent on leading the mythical Titans into a war against the (Greek) gods themselves.

This of course will be done in an exceedingly violent and gory fashion making it a title that should be kept away from more innocent folk. Helios, the god of light, doesn't even make it past the demo with his whole body intact.

Those who are less uptight will be pleased to know nearly every feature from the previous two games make their returns in this sequel. In fact, there are now even more brutal ways to deal with Kratos's enemies with the introduction of new sub-weapons such as the Cestus, large lion shaped gauntlets which allow him to deliver a bit of blunt force trauma to the legions of his foes.
