Lunt and Senatus connected four times on the drive and Senatus got the 'Necks their final first down of the drive with a 14-yard scramble.

"We try to spread the ball around to help a player like Senatus to be more effective," Hendrickson said. "There is no question that he's a talented player and we like to get him the ball."

The Redbirds' defense dominated the game up to that point, tallying six sacks and two interceptions in the contest.

"I give credit to the Redbird defense. We hadn't even scored at halftime," Hendrickson said. "We felt like we need to move the ball at halftime we knew we had to pass the ball."

Kutch's sixth and final field goal brought the score to 25-7 and broke a Missouri Valley record for most in a single game.

"It's a good feeling. It's well waited for after five years of waiting to have a stand up day," Kutch said. "I didn't even know I broke the record until the end when I asked somebody."

The 'Necks next travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa to face Northern Iowa on Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
