Lunt then hit junior wide receiver Lito Senatus on a slant route into the end zone for the 'Necks' first score. He finished the contest going 11-for-19 for 113 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

The game remained tied as both teams traded possession throughout the fourth quarter until an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty was called against the 'Necks on third down to put the Bison on Western's 24-yard line.

On the ensuing play, Paschall ran for a touchdown from 24 yards out. He finished the day with 111 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns.

The 'Necks received the ball with 3:05 left on the clock, but the drive ended after three short plays when Lunt fumbled on another sack.

North Dakota State ran out the clock to hold for a 14-7 victory.

Senior running back Dre Gibbs carried the offense as he accomplished another 100-yard game with 24 carries for 109 yards, which accounted for more than half of the team's total yards on offense.

Despite suffering another setback, Hendrickson was not disappointed by his team's performance.

"Once again, I am very proud of the Leatherneck football team," Hendrickson said. "This was a very physical contest, both sides played very well physically, and we take a lot of pride in playing that style."

The 'Necks now have the school's longest losing streak in 27 years.

Western will visit the Illinois State Redbirds (4-4, 3-2) next Saturday as the 'Necks have three games remaining in the season.

I am not sure if anyone on the team does anything "very well" at this point. Without a doubt there is a problem here. (Continued…)

I've seen two games this year. I attended the game at NIU and watched the SIU game on t.v. The quarterbacks both looked good in the games I saw. Unfortunately, they were the only players who looked particularly good. (Continued…)
