Telling someone there's dirt on his/her face and then having trouble telling them exactly where

It would just be easier to wipe someone's face for them, but instead we attempt to direct them as though we were leading the blind through a cornfield.

Forgetting the reason for entering a room

Our brains just move more quickly than we can process, so if you went to the kitchen to get a sandwich, your body was already contemplating its next move - changing the TV station . . . and you can't find the stinking remote control. You end up in the kitchen, thinking about MTV, wondering why you're there.

Mistakenly thinking it's a day earlier or later than it actually is (e.g., thinking it's Friday when it's Thursday)

We have all been there - told someone it's one day when it's really the other or have shown up to a class on the wrong day. It happens.

When someone waves and you think it's at you, but it's really at someone behind you

You feel like a tool for five minutes, then you move on.
