Western faculty earn URC awards

Faculty members from across a variety of disciplines have received awards from the Office of Sponsored Projects University Research Council's (URC) Spring 2009 competition.
The following faculty received awards:
Tarab Ahmad, chemistry, $5,000, for "Ionic Liquids as Green Solvents for High Performance Liquid Chromatography."
P.K. Babu, physics, $5,000, for "Optical Properties of Semiconducting Nanoparticles Confined in Glass Matrices."
Greg Hall, history, $5,000, for "Jay Fox: The Life and Writings of an American Working-Class Radical."
Scott Palmer, history, $4,850, "Frontlines of the Modern: Technology and Culture in 20th Century Russia."
Brian Peer, biological sciences, $3,800, "Cryptic Egg Mimicry in Brood Parasitic Brown-headed Cowbird."
Hiroko Sotozaki, psychology, $3,701, "Does Dsylexia Occur in Japanese? Evidence for Dyslexia in a Cross-Language Study."
Tim Waldrop, art, $5,000, "Adapting to Katrina & Beyond: Images of the Resilient Mississippi Gulf Coast."
Edward Woell, history, $4,931, "Religious Revolution and Resistance in Small-Town France."-University Relations

All these people are great and quite intellegent in their fields and they know what how to teach in good way.

All faculity mamber are intellegent and they deserve for this award because they were doing really hard work and was loyal with the university.
