Boxing world is all shook up

The boxing world is getting a shake-up of sorts with the recent retirement of Oscar De La Hoya and the rumors of "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather (in my ring announcer voice) making a return to the ring.
De La Hoya finally hung 'em up, and it is about time. He has lost four of his last seven fights and one of those wins was a tune-up match against a much lesser opponent.
Although he has made more money in the ring than any other fighter, De La Hoya has made the right decision. Hopefully he doesn't try to make an ill-advised return to the ring like many others before him. De La Hoya may be the most popular boxer in the sport and is sure to be a hall of famer, boasting a 39-6 record with 30 knockouts.
With De La Hoya out of the picture and Mayweather returning, there is some potential for young fighters to earn some big paydays and some intriguing match-ups could be on the horizon in the welterweight division.
There were many in the boxing community that knew that Mayweather could not stay retired, and according to his father in a report in The Ring Magazine, he is definitely coming back.
Mayweather is a true showman and a phenomenal fighter. He will bring potential for exciting bouts in the near future. Here are some fights that may happen:
Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao
This is probably why Mayweather is returning. When he retired, Pacquiao was proclaimed as the pound-for-pound best which is the title Pretty Boy held previously.
Pacquiao is coming off a one-sided destruction of De La Hoya and will be fighting Ricky Hatton in a super fight on May 2. If Pacquiao wins, this fight is bound to happen for the pound-for-pound crown. Mayweather would take this fight, although it would be close. Pacquiao is a world-class fighter, but Pretty Boy is the best in the world.
Mayweather vs. Shane Mosley
This would be an interesting fight between boxers with similar athletic ability but completely different styles. Mosley is the current WBA welterweight champion after his pounding of Antonio Margarito.
