Two 'Necks go all-tournament

Senior co-captains Jona Andrade and Nikola Katic were named to The Summit League All-Tournament Team for their efforts against UMKC in the semifinal match on Friday, Nov. 14 at the OU Soccer Field.
In the 1-0 double-overtime loss, Andrade recorded one shot and one shot on goal. The Leathernecks (12-5-3, 3-3-1 The Summit League) took a total of 15 shots, but eventual tournament MVP Ken Cooper made nine saves to stop the Western attack.
The Kangaroos (10-6-3, 4-3-1 The Summit League), the league's top offense, were only able to take nine shots and two shots on goal in 108 minutes of action against the Katic lead defense.
UMKC advanced to the championship match after defeating the Leathernecks and beat Oakland 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the game ended 1-1 in regulation.
