Dr Pepper is putting its money where its mouth is. Back in March, the company behind the drink with 23 flavors issued a claim stating that they would give everyone in America a free can of Dr Pepper if Guns N' Roses finally released their highly anticipated and delayed album, "Chinese Democracy" by the end of the year. The only exception was that former Guns N' Roses guitarists Slash and Buckethead were not eligible for a free can (GN'R frontman Axl Rose offered to share his with Buckethead, who contributed on "Chinese Democracy").

What started out as a joke quickly became serious when it was announced that Best Buy would exclusively sell the 13-years-in-the-making album, and that the release date was set for Nov. 23, 2008. Not only is Dr Pepper living up to its promise, but rather than just giving away a free 12 oz. can to everyone in the 50 states, has instead upgraded the offer to giving away a free 20 oz. bottle to all who participate in the deal.

"Chinese Democracy" will feature Guns N' Roses first original material since 1991's "Use Your Illusion I and II" and the first single, which shares the same name as the new album, was released to radio on Oct. 22. The album will only be available from Best Buy's Web site or in-store locations.

In order for America to redeem their free bottle of Dr Pepper, users must log onto www.drpepper.com on Nov. 23, the same day as the album's release. Once logged on, there will be a registration to receive a coupon for a free bottle. Registration will only last the day of "Chinese Democracy's" release and the coupon will expire Feb. 28, 2009, so be sure to visit Dr Pepper's Web site for one of the biggest giveaways in history.
