Mothers we'd love...

Students of Western Illinois University gave back this weekend by showing the women who gave birth to them a good time.

From a balloon rally to the first home football game of the season, moms got the royal treatment, as there were many activities around campus.

The luckiest moms were treated to a massage session at the Spencer Student Recreation Center for the bargain price of $1 per minute.

For most students however, the best way to say thanks to mom is the tried and true, mother-approved method - alcohol.

Yes: Mothers deserving a little rest and relaxation switched roles as their kids taught them the finer points of family games like flippy cup and beer pong.

Have you ever seen an intoxicated mom?

It's pretty fun, but it pales in comparison to a bar full of loud, inebriated mothers wearing high heels instead of Keds and running from MTV's "Busted." Then there's that weird moment when mom divulges some old college stories that make you wish you could erase the mental picture in your head.

We, the students of Western, appreciate the hard work our mothers put into raising us and we can never really repay them. That being said, we ask one thing:

Moms, please don't refer to yourselves as MILFs.

It's gross and doesn't really make any sense, if you think about it. It's considered much more appropriate for moms to refer to themselves as "cougars."

MILF is the term college-aged males use to describe a visually appealing mom while a "cougar" is a mom on the prowl for hot college guys.

Thanks for doing your best in teaching us the ways of the world and giving us the life lessons we'll carry with us the rest of our days. We raise our glasses to you, moms. Cheers.

haha.. MILFS.. how about this.. how about everyone stops saying that, and come up with something better since that is circa 1990s from American Pie (the original), which I am pretty sure since I am 22 and that came out before I was in HS, that EVERYONE else was in middle school or younger when that came out.
