Letter to the editor

Editor's note: The following letter is in response to "Ditch the diva drama" by Kaley Relaz, which appeared in the Nov. 7 issue of the WC.
I think it is extremely interesting that in an article that speaks of unifying women, a word like "whorish" is used.
In the article "Ditch the diva drama," Kaley Relaz did make several good points about the futility of females competing with other females. However, later the writer sends a mixed message. She claims that girls do not give themselves enough credit and demean themselves, even though she previously refers to her own friend's behavior as "whorish."
Is this friend actually being paid for her sexual acts or is she simply partaking in a natural human act? If Relaz truly wants women to feel worthy and validated she should stop judging women for what they choose to do at night.
A woman has the right to choose who they spend the night with, and other women should not judge her decisions. When was the last time you heard a man criticize his pal for sleeping around too frequently? We, as a society, need to stop being hypocrites when it comes to human sexuality.
Female and male sexual endeavors should be viewed in the same light; we do, after all, live in Post- Sexual Revolution America.

Thank you for commenting on my article, but I think you misread the sentence with the word "worish" in it. I said, "She blamed the worish behavior on my friend. (Continued…)

The editorial by Kaley and the unnamed editorial telling people to 'go to Canada' if they disagreed with the authors' (author's?) childish rant about wanting more time off to drink in honor of 'veteran's day' shows a real need for better thinking on the part of the writers. (Continued…)

Below is the stuff juan wrote. A veteran. Really? The NY Times is Hardly left. It's the newspaper of record for a reason. And even they had to apologize for not being more skeptical, and 'newslike' in their run up to this war. (Continued…)
