While it seems that so many people would like to impeach the president, what about our governor? Multiple promises broken, no state budget, political infighting and a political party in such disarray they can't come together on anything!
Blagojevich and Senate President Emil Jones have, essentially, struck a deal that Jones gets those hefty pay increases for lawmakers (including his), along with a spouse who received a huge raise and a son receiving a nice job that was never even posted.
In exchange, Blagojevich gets his way with some healthcare issues because, Jones says, despite deals brokered between the four top legislative leaders, he'll not allow the Senate to exercise a "veto override" vote.
Medicaid providers still waiting, state employees still wondering, state agencies understaffed and a virtual myriad of unfunded projects worthy of action, but Blagojevich gave them all a pay raise!
What with everything that has come out of this governor's administration, I would think the people of this state would want an impeachment of the governor and/or the creation of a "recall," whereby we could oust the incumbent and install someone who might actually try to work together with their colleagues to fix our problem.

I agree. Were it within my power, Governor Rod would have never been elected. To put it bluntly - he stinks.
Unfortunately, lying to the people to get elected and/or failing to deliver on campaign promises is not sufficient reason for impeachment. (Continued…)

Let's face it, this budget thing is definitely not the fault of only one entity in the government. To be honest, I applaud the governor being willing to stand up for what he believes and not cave to all the legislators' pet projects. (Continued…)
