After two hours of talent, formal wear and a swimsuit competition, Brett Neie of Sigma Tau Gamma was crowned Mr. Greek University 2007 Sunday night. The first runner-up was Eddie Rybarski of Delta Sigma Phi, and the second runner-up was Delta Tau Delta's Mike Koulis. The event, hosted by Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, was a fundraiser for the Robbie Page Memorial Foundation.

The judges of the competition were members of different sororities, hand-picked to view the contestants impartially.

The event began with the introduction of the contestants, who have to be active members of a fraternity on the Western Illinois University campus.

The ladies' favorite part of the event was first; the men modeled swimwear in various poses. The talent portion was second, and the men performed skits, created music, played video games and even made goose calls in order to best each other. Handsome faces then beamed above formal tuxedos in a plethora of colors in the formal wear part of the competition. Finally, each man pulled a question out of a glass bowl and answered it in order to showcase his intelligence and wit.

Some examples of the different questions ranged from favorite TV shows to attractions to the opposite sex.

Koulis answered his question by saying the most intriguing thing about a female is "a smile and natural beauty."

Shortly after the question-answer portion ended, the judges narrowed down the 10 contestants to three, and the final triumvirate - Rybarski, Koulis and Neie - answered more questions to secure the top position.

In between the portions of competition, the audience was entertained by Mr. Greek University 2004 Jason Hilber, who came out on stage with his acoustic guitar and sang four songs to an anxious audience. House Arrest 2 then performed a variety of dances and skits that kept the audience's undivided attention, and the group received a standing ovation.

When Neie was announced as the 2007 Mr. Greek University, someone in the audience yelled "Dynasty," and Neie added that a Sigma Tau Gamma had won Mr. Greek University for the past three years.

The contestants or Mr. Greek University 2007 are as follows: Dave Herberger of Sigma Pi, Russ Crull of Alpha Gamma Sigma, Delmar Dade of Delta Upsilon, Tyler Peterson of Alpha Gamma Rho, Brett Neie of Sigma Tau Gamma, Alex Hofeldt of Sigma Chi, Eddie Rybarski of Delta Sigma Phi, Shane McSimov of Delta Sigma Pi, Mike Koulis of Delta Tau Delta and Jason Anderson of Pi Kappa Alpha.
