Wes Craven's "Wishmaster" is as original as it gets when it comes to horror films. The movie's horror begins when a djinn (Andrew Divoff), or an evil genie that is trapped inside a gem being released. An unsuspecting gemologist rubs the gem, releasing the djinn.

In order for the djinn to complete his mission, he must grant people wishes. While granting wishes he gets to release demons, giving him the ability to take over the human race, one wish at a time.

The wishes aren't what they appear to be. The djinn tricks people in to making wishes and can either take the form of a human or a djinn. The person making the wish gets what they wanted but with other unwanted stipulations. Something bad always happens when someone makes a wish.

"Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies" is the return of the evil djinn.

The djinn is accidentally released in a botched robbery. Once released, the djinn takes the form of a human and says he's the one who did the robbery so he can go to jail. In jail, the djinn offers wishes to inmates to collect their souls and gain more power to slowly let the other djinns out to roam the Earth.

"Wishmaster 3: Beyond The Gates of Hell" takes place in Illinois at Baxter University. The djinn (John Novak) is awakened from his tomb by a student, Diana Collins (A.J. Cook) at the university, where he once again is released and starts his killing spree and wish granting.

Just when you thought they couldn't possibly produce anymore movies about an evil genie, they did. "Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled" has the same plot as before. The djinn grants wishes and tries to take over the world. He spends most of his time tracking down his new victim to convince her to make her third wish and the final wish that will release his plethora of djinns.
