PETA chews out Six Flags over insect eating contest

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, who claims that "animals are not ours to eat," has been celebrating its victory over Chicago this past year. For those of you who haven't heard, foie gras, the bird liver delicacy, was banned from restaurants after members of the Chicago City Council decided it was inhumane to force-feed the birds, according to CBS News.
Foie gras is French for "fat liver" and is a dish in which ducks and geese are actually force-fed, causing their livers to swell.
I know PETA can get a little crazy with its protests for animal rights, but once you get that image of a tube being shoved down a poor goose's throat, it makes it a little easier to side with the birds, doesn't it?
However, sometimes groups like PETA get a bit overwrought when it comes to their principles. Yeah, sure it's great that we aren't allowed to force-feed birds anymore, but sometimes these activist groups let successes, such as this one, get to their heads and start taking on projects that are beyond a worthy cause.
Sometimes they're not even logical, and instead create negative labels for themselves. It is true, groups like PETA can get caught up in their principles, and for them, this has happened very recently.
What I am referring to here is PETA's protest of Six Flags Great America Amusement Park. But why Six Flags? Are Bugs Bunny, Tweety and Daffy Duck unfair stereotypes of woodland creatures? No. Thankfully, they haven't fallen that far off the wagon … yet.
PETA has decided to protest a contest Six Flags will be hosting during Fright Fest 2006. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, customers will receive a pass which allows them to jump to the front of the line of any ride if they can eat and keep down a live, three-inch, Madagascar hissing cockroach.
What? People in Ethiopia and Sudan eat bugs, what's the big deal if little Kyle pops a few to avoid the two-hour wait for Superman? It amazes me that this is what PETA deemed a worthy cause.

People in Ethiopia Do not Eat "BUGS". If they do! They would never be starved to death. Ethiopians rather die than eating any bugs, shell fish including your fine food "Lobster" or Pork and reptiles. (Continued…)

She made a mistake, lets crucify her! First of all she did not say Ethopians and Sudanese ate bugs as a insult. Second it could be worse, she could have said these people ate shit as sustinence. (Continued…)
