All-Conference honorees named

Norris was named to the all-conference first team as a return specialist. The senior was the conference's only player to rank among the top three in both kick returns (2nd) and punt returns (3rd), and he led the league in all-purpose yardage (151.4 ypg) during conference games. Norris set school records of 31 kick returns and 789 return yards (25.5 ypr), and also returned 18 punts for 180 yards (10.0 ypr). Last season, he earned a spot on the All-Newcomer Team and the all-conference second-team as a return specialist.

Green and Woods both earned their first all-conference honors. Green started all 11 games at linebacker as a junior and ranked second with 107 tackles, behind three-time Defensive Player of the Year, Grigsby. Green recorded five double-digit tackle performances, including a career-high 17 tackles at Western Kentucky University. Woods started 10 games at free safety and led all Leatherneck defensive backs with 62 tackles. He collected a team-best four interceptions (45 return yards) and also broke up three passes and forced a fumble.

Gray caught 33 passes for 551 yards and a touchdown as a junior, averaging 50.1 yards per game and 16.7 yards per catch en route to his second consecutive all-conference honor.

Langan earned his third all-league award after becoming Western's all-time leading scorer and rewriting the kicking record book. He ended his four-year career with 335 points and scored in all 47 games.

Norris earned an honorable mention spot as a wide receiver, catching 39 passes for a team-high 729 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged 66.3 yards per game and 18.7 yards per catch, and recorded four 100-yard games. Ryan earned his first all-conference honor after starting all 11 games at defensive end and registered 42 tackles. He tallied a team-high nine tackles for loss (-28 yards) and also recorded a sack, five pass breakups and two blocked kicks.
