Many may be wondering what our President George W. Bush has done for the country and for you. President Bush has led a successful War on Terror, which was started by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Over three-fourths of all Al Qaeda leaders have been killed or captured. We are currently fighting terrorist on the frontlines (Fullujah and Sadr City) in Iraq and we are winning and we are killing terrorist. It is imperative that we stay the course in Iraq until the Iraqis are able to take upon the security of their nation themselves. Any withdrawal from Iraq before Iraqis can secure their country and vote for a new Government will be a win for the terrorists. Furthermore we have been and will continue to be successful in helping the Iraqis rebuild.

Besides leading a successful War on Terror President Bush has achieved many successes here at home. In his four years in office the President has improved our school systems with the No Child Left Behind Act. In Illinois 26 schools, according to the departments of education, came off the "needs improvement" list. Also in Illinois test scores are up 15 percent between 2001 and 2003. In addition the government is spending $1.7 billion so that no child is left behind, Pell Grant funding has increased by $23.6 million to $347.4 million.

In the past 13 months over 1.9 million jobs have been added, which proves that the economy is recovering from the recession that the President inherited and from the shock of September 11th. Also it was President Bush and the Republican Party who pass a prescription drug plan, which will give seniors discounts on prescription drugs and alleviate the choice between eating and buying prescription drugs.

President Bush has achieved many successes for the American people in his term and will continue to when reelected on November 2. President Bush has a proven record and will continue to fight terrorist instead of going back to the times were terrorism was a nuisance.

Mr. Albright,

How do we know that we have killed or captured 3/4 of the terrorists? The secret nature of terrorism is such that we really don't know what their numbers are. (Continued…)
