In April, a drunk driver killed two men on Chicago's Dan Ryan expressway. Andrew Cazares, 23, and Fausto Manzera, 21, were parked on the side of the road to deal with a flat tire, when Joseph Frugoli, 41, crashed into their car, killing them instantly.
Frugoli left the scene and was apprehended shortly thereafter.…

Standardized tests get an F-
Standardized tests seem to cause a variety of problems with education. The Obama Administration has recently released a report that indicates states have been lowering the standards for students nationwide in regards to these tests. In some states, students are proficient in subject areas, but if they go to another state, they would be considered far below grade level.…

On behalf of the Take Back the Night Planning Committee, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of the Western Illinois University and Macomb community's 20th annual Take Back the Night March and Rally on Oct. 8, 2009.
This year's march and rally, which had over 400 participants, even with the inclement weather, was a tremendous success.…
