The 2008 Annual GSB Hot List

Chicago Business, University of Chicago GSB, IL

4 days ago by O-Face and Ugly Betty, '08

The Hot List, the most controversial article of the year, is here. You love it, you hate, but either way, you read it. No one knows how long the GSB has been doing the Hot List, although in ancient times it was called the "Hottie Hot Tub List." This year we had record participation with almost 250 votes, which is at least 25 times the typical ChiBus readership and represents a massive proportion of the student body if one corrects for people who have no sense of humor.

Nearly a generation ago, our parents and undergrads at UIC were wearing fashion of a questionable nature. In the late 1980s, both men and women channeled their inner rockers like the guys from the group Poison and wore acid-wash jeans, large ripped jeans that were a little loose on the body.

Over the last 20 years, UIC has undergone massive changes. The campus expanded southward, dormitories have been built and the university itself has become well known as a first-class research institution.
